Congratulation to CSU for winning the New Student Support Award (In recogonition of its work to go above and beyond to help new students with the adjustment process to the United States and UGA for the 2007-2008 academic year) in the ISL Annual Award Banquet!

CSU wins New Student support Award because of our effort for arranging picking up, temporary housing and other support to new students in the adjustment precess to USA and UGA.


Congratulation to Huanyao Gao (¸ß»ÃÑþ), the president of CSU for winning the Outstanding Graduate Student Award (In recognition of his personal service and leadership to ISL and the international students at UGA for the 2007-2008 academic year
)

Huanyao Gao wins the Outstanding Graduated Student Award not only because his outstanding commitment and leadership in CSU, but also because his actively involving in ISL activities of street festival, faculty and staff training for international students teaching, ISL annual budget requesting session and study abroad programs. He successfully lead CSU to host Mid-moon Festival Party, "2008 Beijing Olympic Exhibition" and UGA Chinese programs promotion week, Spring Festival Party, coffee hour, and participating ISL international street festival. He attended the faculty and staff training and helped some faculty and staff to understand the way to communicate with international students. He participated the planning committee as leader of the fundraising group and member of performing group. He made prominent contributions in the fundraising group, which collectively raised money and other donations from local business for a total value of more than 1000 USD. He is also one of the in charge staff for organizing performing, especially the fashion show. His ingenious skills in speech helped with fundraising process both in the street festival and ISL annual budget interview(the "Big Ask"). He also get involved with study abroad programs in China by communicating with students who are going to China for their concerns in their daily life in China.
